This documentary is about a very brave person who fought back against Putin and his propaganda machine. Teachers and other admistration are forced  to teach their students all sorts of lies so that they can indocternate young children to be suppourtive of his attack on Ukraine.   Pavel a Russian teacher and videographer  teams up with David, a Brittish documentary filmmaker to expose how young children and the rest of Russia  are being brainwashed in this very compelling film.

 We kick off our latest series on filmmaker Yargos Lanthimos by reviewing the movie that put him on the map.  Academy Award nominee Dogtooth.

This movie tells the strange tale of two overproterctive parents who keep their three children in complete ignorance of the outside world.  They teach them the incorect names for objects, Watch home movies for entertainment, and tell them to be afraid of common house cats.

Rarely do I write anything on this site but since it is award season.   I thought I would share with you my picks on what will be nominated and also who I think will win The Academy Awards aka The Oscars.  Now this data is based on the other nominees from other award shows and my own personal opinions based on the movies I saw.  

Since we are not hip enough to get screeners like other critics do, this is the best I can come up with.  I'm not covering all the awards just the main ones.
